Chobe is a magnificent place with a variety of game and an incredible diversity of wildlife ranging from hippo and crocodile to great numbers of wild animals, particularly the Chobe elephant. Often described as one of the best wildlife-viewing area in Africa today.

In Savuti, at certain times of the year the concentration of animals can be staggering. You will probably see nearly all the major species: giraffe, elephant, zebra, impala, tsessebe, roan, sable, wildebeest, kudu, buffalo, waterbuck, warthog, eland and accompanying predators including lion, hyaena, jackal, bat-eared fox and possibly even cheetah and wild dog.

The unusual Linyati Region offers a concentration of game so vast that it is possible to see 3000 buffalo at a time as well as wildebeest and zebra in their thousands. The wildlife is plentiful, especially in the dry winter months (April – October) when great concentrations of elephant, buffalo and zebra congregate along the river, with giraffe, impala and roan antelope being seen in the forests. In fact, the Kwando Reserve is home to more elephant than the entire country of South Africa.
